Emma Manross began Bakers of Hope when she was still attending Northville High School, and earned  the Girl Scout Gold Award by doing so.

Recognizing the value of the work of Northville Civic Concern to reduce food insecurity in the area, she decided to expand on that concept by providing fresh baked goods, donated by the caring members of the community. 

​

Through the years Individuals, civic, social , and student groups, as well as local businesses, have responded to this need and  continued Emma's legacy .
